Old barns like this one are becoming harder to find in good condition. Since this drawing was done, the barn in the picture has deteriorated to the point that the only safe thing to do with it is to tear it down. It is the same for many of these buildings. As these barns disappear, their character and history go with them. I wanted to capture those attributes in this picture before this barn came down.
