Be Like a Child
I was intrigued by the mask. It transformed him. The child was no longer a little boy but a masked superhero. So I originally titled this drawing Masked Hero-Boy.

Nearing completion of the picture, I was studying the New Testament and reading Jesus' teaching about coming to Him "as a little child". The point of the drawing changed as I was being changed by His teaching. It turned into a self portrait even though the boy is not me.

In either case, the imagination and innocence of a child is what this drawing is all about.
