A view of the ubiquitous Mississippi River. As you go further
north in Minnesota, the prairie is abruptly replaced by
evergreen forests. This scene is from the river at the southern
edge of that wooded area. I
wanted to emphasize the patterns of sunlight on the tree trunks
and branches. I also wanted to show the denseness of the
forest against the wide open area of the river.
