Waterfall
The unimaginative title best describes this drawing -- a picture of a waterfall. However, the reasoning behind the drawing is a bit more involved. This was originally an exercise in stippling. I wanted to see if I could draw a picture using only the stippling technique. (Stippling is a method of drawing in which dots from the tip of the pen are the only marks used.) I found that for the waterfall itself and rock formations this was acceptable. Drawing the wooded areas required lines. In the end, my desire to use only one technique proved inappropriate, but the stippling yielded nice texture and deep shadows.
